I'm glad we can find more things to discuss other than the weather. Wow! 21 pages and not one topic repeated! Let's give ourselves a hand. =:D  :)db

Me too. However climate change is the weather and I'm sure we may come back to that at some point.   ;)

That's not to say we can't talk about the weather. The weather is normally a topic which breaks the ice. We've been swimming in warm waters for quite a while. I like it.

What ya got up yer sleeve for valentines day?

I'll probably spend it in bed dreaming about the white horse without a rider and the cookies I'll buy myself later. ::D

Nah. That horse has been running bareback for quite some time. It's a beautiful thing, really.

Horses don't ride bareback, riders do. Still, I catch the drift. What kind of cookies will it be?    (I know the answer)

My roommate just walked through the door. I gotta go for now. I'll let you know how the cookies will be. Maybe I'll make them myself this year. Talk later, bye for now. [peace]

Sadly, I do not, but they are very beautiful. And very expensive. They are worn mainly as Capes, by the First Nations tribes. That's another thing I gotta check out this summer. The First Nations heritage is more prominent on the west coast than it is on the east coast. The Museums will be a place to start. There is nothing more beautiful and natural than Native art.

First Nations heritage is something I plan to study more of. I have always been interested.

Chimo is a word I learned of only yesterday. Do you know it? Is it still used at all? Does it mean more than just hello?

In all honesty I have never heard the expression until you brought it to my attention. I'm not too up to date on the language of the western and Northern Canadian First Nations. In the east there are the Miq' Maq (Mic Mac) First Nations tribes. The language is slightly different, but even in that language I am not knowledgeable. It brings to mind the Hawaiian word "Aloha" which means both hello and....farewell? W==(:D)==
