Fasting and Qiblih

Here is a site which calculates the sunrise and sunset time for fasting according to the latitude and longitude of your area.  No matter where you are in the world, it can give your accurate sunrise and sunset for the fast.

Basic Baha'i Knowledge of Days, Months and Year:
  • Baha'is fast during the Baha'i month of 'Ala (meaning Loftiness), or from March 2 - March 20.
  • A Baha'i day starts and ends at sunset.
  • A Baha'i month consists of 19 days and a Baha'i year consists of 19 months plus 4 days (during leap year - 5 days) totaling to 365 days.
