Title: Reaction to lipstick?
Post by: Sassafras on December 07, 2013, 09:14:26 PM
Last week, I reacted severely to something.  Migraine, nausea, vomiting, light sensitivity - for nearly 12 hours.  It was tedious to back track through every ingested food and consumer product, but I did it.  The only culprit I came up with was the new lipstick I bought the week prior.

Beauty 21 Cosmetic, Inc.  www.lacolors.com
Cocoa Shimmer

May contain: Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, and 5 colors. [Paraphrased and missing very tiny numbers, and that's when I'm wearing readers.]

Squalane:

"Ingestion: May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. The toxicological properties of this
substance have not been fully investigated. "

"Adverse Effects: May cause gastrointestinal tract irritation with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea"

A second ingredient I researched was Tocopheryl Acetate.  This form of Vitamin E is processed from soy, corn, or wheat.  In other words, GMO.

The research still continues.

As a side note, I am updating the list of ingredients which are to be avoided because of their excitotoxicity.  It is not up and running yet but soon.  Very soon.  Here is the link anyhow:  http://saynotomsg.com/basics_list.php

Keep up the good fight!!
