Monosodium Glutamate is becoming less and less popular of an ingredient in prepared foods. Yes, it is still being used, but it's more likely to find Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (HVP) and Autolyzed Yeast Extract and spice Extracts like Paparika. There are over 80 ingredients wich have been in our food system since 2000. Since then, there has been an explosion of fake sugars and MORE flavor enhancers derived from seaweeds.
Eventhough, there are SO MANY people who are fighting against the use of MSG (including me), that it WILL NOT matter if the food industry and the medical industry and the pharma industry actually eliminate its use, because MSG is only ONE ingredient and they have over 100 to take its place.
MSG is becoming less and less popular because of those who are fighting against its use, but once MSG is banned from use, I see our CAUSE dying out. We will not have that ONE WORD which says "DANGER! Do Not Eat!" We will be fighting a monster with 100 heads instead of a monster with one head.
IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO ELIMINATE ONLY MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE. We have to campaign against EVERY LAST EXCITOTOXIN.
Keep up the good fight!!
