Could a black hole be the portal to another evolving universe?
« on: January 31, 2009, 04:39:59 PM »
I have searched this forum and could not find any place which discusses topics of science, so I'll place my post here.
This is something I have given much thought to and would like to have the views of others on.

Physicists and astronomers have pretty much come to the conclusion that our existing universe began with a thermonuclear explosion they have dubbed "The Big Bang". Although black holes have been discovered, there is not much science can tell us about them except that they are formed when a supernova star explodes or collapses in on itself, creating a force of gravity so strong that draws all matter surrounding it into it and nothing can escape it, not even light.

Albert Einstein's theory of relativity allows room for the "possibility" of parallel universes. Let us assume that Einstein is correct and parallel universes do exist. What if a supernova star within a galaxy somewhere within one of these universes, explodes, creating a black hole which, over the course of 25 billion years, evolves into what we now know as our existing universe? A black hole is normally located at the center of a galaxy, including our own milky. Could it be possible that this and all black holes are the portals to other evolving universes, each beginning with "A Big Bang"?
As God as my witness, I cannot tell a lie.  ;)

As they say in Tennessee, "Maht be!"  That is just a little bit too heavy for me.  By the way, Truthsayer, Sass will create a "Science" section.  We just overlooked it, I guess.

It is done... the Science board is here.  I created it a few days ago and it is more than ready.

I've seen a program on the Discovery Channel something like what you're suggesting.  It was a while ago so I can't say that I recall much of the scientific theories, but I like your questions.
