In the last few days everyone has experienced a flood of spam.  Simple Machine Forums are no different.

Here at MCF, I have had to delete many spammers and stop others from activating their accounts.  These spammers provided nefarious material in posts and in their profiles.  I had to take some action against these spambots by adding a mod which asks random questions during registration.  Currently, I am approving anyone who joins so I can keep an eye on the activity of the forum.   ^:|--  So far, all is good.

Mick shared with me an article http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27689714/ this morning about the flood of spam everyone has been experiencing.  It is great news and a must read!!

This next week I will take down some of the barbed wire and high fences.
