Yesterday, I took two pork chops and sliced them about 1/4 inch
thick. I then sauteed some fresh mushrooms I had cut up with chopped
garlic (the kind in a jar) in margarine and added the pork chop
strips. I added quite a bit of black pepper and some onion powder to
taste. After the meat cooked all the way through ( only a few
minutes) I added some Kikomen Soy Sauce (Kikomen because it is the
only soy sauce I have found without MSG) and a little water and
slowly cooked it down. While that was cooking, I boiled some water
and cooked some Ramen noodles, threw the flavor packet away because
it is loaded with MSG but the noodles are cheap, and then spread the
cooked strips and mushrooms over the noodles.
I made this for two people with no leftovers. It could easily be
made for one, using only one pork chop and one packet of Ramen
noodles. I use the Ramen noodles because I can buy the packets 10
for a dollar when on sale and that is cheaper than a box of angel
hair pasta.
And let me tell you, it was scrumptous.
Note: My wife cooked the same meal with some frozen peppers as a stir fry. Again, great.
