I hate spammers

Sass and I were gone for two days.  We came back and a person had joined this forum and had posted 137 posts about drugs:  where to buy them and what to buy.  137 posts.  Ironically, the last post was a "Hi, thought I would say HI.  I hope this is the right place to post.  How is everybody."  Normally, this is the first post by a spammer.  I guess the "BOT" got confused.  Anyway, I spent a half hour deleting everything and blocking the spammer by every way I can muster.  I honestly, from the bottom of my heart hate spammers, liars and thieves.

I took the time to look through the MisFiT membership and deleted all the known rift-raft.  I saved IPs, email addresses, and other information before hand.  Now, our City is clean!!  And, the garbage will be taken out on a regular bases... so there menace-trash-leavin'-spammers!!

AS much as I agree with you both... "Hate" is an energy wasting word, instead of directing your energies toward hating, make more efforts to block spammers from joining. :)

I agree, hate is a draining emotion.  The word has little value accept to describe a very powerful feeling that comes from having to expend the effort to block those that are trying to hi-jack or steal this or any other forum.  We use filters that help us in blocking thousands of spammers a year.  I am sincere, though, in checking out each one that is blocked to be sure they have a serious history of spamming.  I can spend a couple of hours every time I get on line.  Since we travel a lot, we sometimes go two to three days without being able to find Wi-Fi.  For instance, I last checked our forum  on Wednesday morning and cleaned our site of all attempted spammers.  Today, Thursday, at 5 PM, I have been notified of 48 spammers that attempted to enter our site.That would be an average of 36 a day. 

Now with all of that in mind, I hate liars and thieves as well and spammers are both.  I have no tolerance with liars and thieves.  None, zero, zip.  They all will steal something from me, if it is only brain cells.  Anyway, I appreciate your heart felt post.
