What was the shortest job you ever had?   ???

I was a bartender....... ::D......for one day.   :o

Was I wrong to tell my friends about my new job before my first day of work?    :)7

I don't think so, but I would like to hear the story.  My shortest job was as a field crew boss at a blueberry field when I was 16.  I was hired to run a crew of hoers in a blueberry field and when I showed up, the owner said he hadn't been able to find a crew for me, but go ahead and get started and he should have some other guys by the end of the week.  I did start and found the field was sodded with about 8 inches of sod.  I walked up to his house and quit after one hour.

I've never hoed a blueberry field but I've picked enough of them in my day to know that that is a job in itself. You wouldn't think so, but it gives every muscle in your body a workout!
My shortest job however was when I was 16 and was hired to work in a food processing plant. I might have had a good career there, but my boss sort of caught me making out with a nice looking guy in the lunchroom on the first day! Both of us were fired on the spot. Boo hoo!

Well, I really haven't had that many jobs in my life - those being waitressing, prep-cook, courier, and co-owner of my own business.  Out of my extensive resume, the shortest job lastest almost three weeks.  Mick and I had come back from Florida and were BROKE!!  I had worked for a courier a year before and had re-applied.  When I got my first check, we sat down to figure out when we'll be starting the motorcycle swap meets again.  We figured out that the next day I would have to put in my two week notice.  Wow!!  That brings back memories!!
