We use a Kona whole bean and grind it ourself with a coffee grinder we bought last year.  It costs around $8 a pound, so we started mixing it with Spartan Columbian or French at about a 50/50 ratio.  Very aromatic and very heavy flavored as a good coffee should be.

Mick and I do make a good blend of coffee with our 50/50 mixture.  For a while we were using a 25/25/50 mixture.  When we first got the french roast, I figured it to be a little too strong, so I blended it with our regular spartan coffee to tone it down.  Then I took 2 scoops of of that blend and 2 scoops of Kona.  Really nice flavor and no bitter after taste.

I, personally, can't have any of the flavored coffees because so many of them have MSG-like ingredients.  But sometimes I will drink some milk with my coffee which tastes really good.

Sass, I was wondering, after you make your coffee, what do you pour it into?

That's good to know, but what I'm asking is after you make the coffee and it's ready to drink what do you then pour it into?        [^:<LaughX]

Ahhhh!!

I drink my coffee black - no cream, sugar, or Irish influence (alcohol).

I do sometimes drink milk with my coffee.  But that is it.
