Book into Movie: Dead Spy Running
« on: August 17, 2011, 02:40:06 PM »
The book has been out since 2009 and the movie is planned for release in 2014.

Dead Spy Running is by Jon Stock a British author and journalist who has written 4 books since 1997.  All are spy thrillers.  Jon Stock signed on in 2008 for a three movie franchise where Dead Spy Running is the first.

The book summary doesn't give any helpful hints about the setting of this Spy Thriller, but I think I can share this with our readers that it is really a Baha'i Thriller:

Many people are touched by the plight of the Baha’is in Iran and want to help. One such person is writer Jon Stock. He made the persecutions in Iran a central element of his novel Dead Spy Running, published in 2009 by Thomas Dunne Books and now being adapted for the silver screen. In fact, the book’s climactic scene takes place outside the Baha’i House of Worship in India’s National Capital Territory of Delhi, a landmark universally known as the Lotus Temple.

It is not for him to pride himself who loveth his own country, but rather for him who loveth the whole world. The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens. ~~Baha'u'llah

The chief idols in the desecrated temple of mankind are none other than the triple gods of Nationalism, Racialism and Communism, at whose altars governments and peoples, whether democratic or totalitarian, at peace or at war, of the East or of the West, Christian or Islamic, are, in various forms and in different degrees, now worshiping. ~~Shoghi Effendi, The Promised Day is Come
