18% of Voters are Undecided
« on: September 24, 2008, 10:58:38 AM »
Yahoo News announced that 18% of voters are undecided on who they will vote for on November 4th.

Having said that, let me tell you a story:

When Mick and I were in Tomahawk, WI for the Color Tour Motorcycle Show this year, we went to have breakfast every morning with 2 newspapers - USA Today and The New York Times.  We couldn't go through the morning without discussing the polite of country and the political race.  One morning we hadn't gotten into any deep conversation until Mick overheard a guy say, "I can't vote for McCain, but what choice do I have?...  I can't vote for Obama either."  The guy said he didn't side with McCain because he knows McCain will be just another 4 more years of "Bush" and he didn't fall for the "Hillary voters will now vote for McCain because of Sarah Palin" ploy.  One of the reason why he said he couldn't vote for Obama was because he will raise taxes.   ^:|--  Mick asked the guy how much he paid in taxes last year, the guy gave an amount, and Mick asked the guy, "So you made [$$,000] last year?", and the guy said, "Yeah!"   :)7  [The guy apparently thought that was a lot of money.]  Mick and the guy discussed farther the "tax method" for both McCain and Obama which left the guy to figure out another reason why not to vote for Obama. ((:Wo))  After weighing out the guy's farther concerns, the final conclusion was the guy was a racist.  And he agreed!! <:(

A few days ago, there was an article/poll about racism and how "whites" see "blacks" and how "blacks" have been affected by "whites" and to what degree.  That poll intended to give insight into the workings of racism.

Now, about this poll -- 18% of voters are undecided.  I know this poll doesn't discuss racism or race, but IMHO, these 18% are "in the closet racists".  The guy in Tomahawk would be part of this 18%.  Some of the guys we will meet in the Gun Shows this fall and winter are "in the closet racists" - most of them ARE and will vote of McCain because of it.

Racism is an issue we must discuss OPENLY!!  Mick and I have decided to openly discuss racism when it becomes an issue.  Everyone should!  We have to overcome racism and in the next four years, it will be discussed - no matter who is elected.
