One day I was cooking some ground buffalo and trying to decide what I was going to do with it and this was the results.  I call it Chili Goulash.

1-1 1/2 lbs of ground meat (buffalo, turkey, beef....your choice.)
1 small/medium onion
2-14 oz. cans of diced tomatoes, unseasoned
2 to 3 cans of beans, I use one dark kidney, one light kidney and maybe one navy.  Your choice.
Mushrooms (I normally use canned mushrooms.  You can use fresh, but I would suggest you slice/dice them and   saute them before adding them to this dish)
Cumin...some
Chili powder...lots
Black pepper...couple of tablespoons
1 to 1 1/2 cups of elbow macaroni
Water

Cook the meat until mostly brown.  Add chopped onions, stir and cook until marbleized.  Add spices to taste.  Add diced tomatoes, undrained,  drained beans and mushrooms.  Cook for 10 minutes stirring and add some water.  When it starts to boil add the macaroni and cover for about 10 minutes to cook the macaroni.  Remove the cover and cook out the remaining water.  Serve with whipped butter and pumpernickel bread.  Make a lot, because it gets better on each warm-up.

I have added garlic powder, tarragon, and celery salt.  This is one of those dishes you can add your favorite flavors.  I think the key to the dish, though, is the beans.  They are so tasty.

Now that's what I'm talkin about. When I prepare this dish, if it turns out only half as good as when I sampled yours, I'll be in tall cotton. Thanks Mick.

Your turn Nelson. I guy can't have to many goulash recipes right? I hope you will post yours too. It tasted mighty fine in camp.
