Barack Obama's statement concerning a building of a Mosque
« on: August 17, 2010, 04:16:56 PM »

I support President Barack Obama's statement concerning a building of a Mosque.  One of the greatness's of our country is that we accept the freedom of religion.  If this Mosque is denied the right to build a community center at this location because a bunch of terrorists killed a lot of people in the name of God, then we should disallow the building of any religious building near any massacre.  Would it be OK to allow a Christian Church to be built near the Oklahoma Federal Building that was bombed by a professed Christian?  The greatness of our constitution is that it protects everybodies rights, not just one group of individuals rights, regardless of our race, ethnicity, religion, skin color, sex, sexual orientation or age.  We all have the same rights as defined by our constitution.  We either believe this or we simply don't believe in the first line of the Constitution of the United States that begins, "We the people of the United States..."  without equivocation.
