Benazir Bhutto
« on: January 29, 2008, 12:21:33 PM »

Banazir Bhutto was born June 21, 1953 and was assassinated on December 27, 2007.  When Mick and I heard of Bhutto's assassination, we were not only shocked, we were overwhelmed with the loss of a great leader for the middle east.  Bhutto's assassination could only mean for all the hopeful people of Pakistan a long, hard road of hopelessness until another strong leader emerges.  God speed another great leader!

I place Banazir Bhutto among a small list of leaders throughout history...

John F. Kennedy
Martin Luther King
Abraham Lincoln
Thomas Jefferson
Mother Teresa
Abdu'l-Baha

I will add to this list as I think of more people.  Please add to the list as you see fit.

Just Being ME!!

It is not for him to pride himself who loveth his own country, but rather for him who loveth the whole world. The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens. ~~Baha'u'llah

The chief idols in the desecrated temple of mankind are none other than the triple gods of Nationalism, Racialism and Communism, at whose altars governments and peoples, whether democratic or totalitarian, at peace or at war, of the East or of the West, Christian or Islamic, are, in various forms and in different degrees, now worshiping. ~~Shoghi Effendi, The Promised Day is Come

I would have to agree, she was exactly what they need more of over there.

She's a true "martyr" unlike those slimy terrorists who represent hate and twisted logic.
