Yesterday evening and again this evening, Keith Olbermann informed his views that here in the very land we reside in, there are people who are going without. The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe of South Dakota. I went to the Storm Relief website and noticed after a moment that the donations were more than the amount shown on TV. Just over $7,000 was donated when ever the website was captured for broadcasting on MSNBC. When I first went to the website this evening (during the end of Countdown) it showed $15,955. After Countdown, over $58,000. About 9pm, $62,986. At 9:10, $68,816. At 9:15, $71,586. Even the comments on the website when up - 2 pages, 8 pages, 12 pages, 22 pages. I haven't been this excited since... Obama became President!! This stuff is exciting!!! ______________ Just Me Sass BTW, 9:20... $74,491 and 23 pages of comments. I love it! |

More... When I first got to the website, there were 51 followers, now there are 273 followers at 9:30pm. $77,931 raised. And 25 pages on the Donors' Wall.

I'll be checkin that one out Sass, right now in fact. At this point in time $127,725.00 has been raised. That's great!! I stayed up 'til midnight last night. I should have posted the figure then but I will now. 12:01am $140,281 raised. 443 followers. 40 pages of comments on the Donors' Wall.
As of 7:45 AM, Wednesday, there is $157,725 dollars reported donated. Awesome.

As of 9:30 this evening, $218,728 has been raised for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Storm Relief. I wouldn't be surprised to find a half million raised by next Monday. These people were originally hoping to raise only $25,000 so the Bush Foundation would match the donations. Now, they have over $185,000 more than what they expected.
Theses stories don't happen all time, but it's so nice when they do.
