The Birth of Seekers of the Faith... and a new addition to this Great Cause

Ya! Baha'u'l-Abha! I have a wonderful announcement for the Believers of the Faith...

Mick and I are ecstatic to let everyone here at MCF know that we were contacted via Skype Messenger by a couple in Senegal, West Africa with questions about the Baha'i Faith on January 2nd.  Their names are Marvin and Florence. We have answered many of their questions which (get this) came from reading a poster on the Religions of the World. Awesome!!! Our new seekers of the Faith have made the Blessed announcement only five days later with, "What can I do to become a member of the Baha'i faith?" Ya! Baha'u'l-Abha!

Already, Florence after being told by a friend not to be involved with "these people", proceeded to teach her friend about the Baha'i Faith.  Marvin has a friend he is teaching as well.  This couple is truly on fire and anxious to immerse themselves into this Great Cause.

We contacted the Baha'is in The Gambia and they have passed our messages to the National Spiritual Assembly of Senegal located in Dakar.  It took a while for someone to make contact with Marvin and Florence because most of the Baha'is in Dakar speak French and the couple only speak English, but Marvin has finally talked to some Baha'is on the phone and have scheduled a meeting.  (Oh, the need for an auxiliary language.)  In the meantime, Mick and I have provided this couple with websites like True Seekers and Prayers and the online version of Ocean.  We will provide them with Baha'i books, though we hope the Baha'i Community in their area will get them started with some of the essentials.

There has been another amazing and glorious thing that has come out of this birth of new believers.  Marvin and Florence were expecting a baby any day, and on January 21th at around 1:30am Baby Florence Sassafras was born.

We have received our first glimpse of Baby Florence Sassafras which I would like to share with everyone along with photos of Marvin and Florence.
